With ParaSurfing events like the AASP US Open of Adaptive Surfing in Oceanside and the annual ISA World Championships helping to push the competitive front, Adaptive Surfing is growing into a prominent activity for individuals with disabilities to compete.
Even without competition the demand for Adaptive Surfing is strong as "Free-Surfers" with disabilities are abundant in Southern California and often enjoy surfing with good friends and neighbors.
